Description

'Ground Rush' Tandem Jump from 6,000 feet giving you the rush of freefall at speeds of up to 220km/h!
We begin the day with a training & safety briefing with your tandem instructor, this includes what to expect in freefall, under canopy and upon landing.
You will be given a jumpsuit and your instructor will fit you into a harness. You will walk out to the plane and there you will conduct your practice exits. Once all the ground preparation has been completed, it is time to get in the plane and get ready for take-off.
During the flight to altitude you will be able to take in the views of the Yarra Valley, Dandenong Ranges, Melbourne CBD and Port Phillip Bay.
Once we reach height, it will be time to prepare yourself for the jump. The door opens and as you leave the plane, you and your tandem master will accelerate through the air reaching terminal velocity - 220km/h.
In freefall, your senses will be able to take in views as far as the eye can see. Then finally its time to pull your parachute open, the parachute ride is very different as you sail around the sky, still gliding.

An easy landing for anyone with basic fitness – all you have to do is lift your legs and our highly experienced and skilled tandem masters do the rest for you.

Venue

The Melbourne Skydive Centre is located in the Yarra Valley and is the closest skydiving centre to Melbourne. (Map). (Map).

Duration

Skydiving is weather dependant - we ask that you allow 6 hours, on average the experience takes 2 to 3 hours including briefing, scenic flight, freefall, parachute ride and de-brief.

Booking Considerations & Restrictions

Your tandem sky dive will be with your instructor. There may be up to 20 people attending the safety briefing at any one time. We operate all year round. We recommend that you book at least one week in advance. All bookings are subject to availability. You must be at least 14 years of age and we need to be advised if the jumper is over 95kg (Maximum 105kg). You should be physically fit. We can cater for disabled participants - please enquire at the time of booking (conditions apply). To participate in the wine tasting you must be at least 18 years of age. No alcohol may be consumed prior to your skydive. This package is avaiable Monday to Friday only.



Extras: Please note there is an additional Australian Parachute Federation levy of $25.00 per person for all jumps.
